“Papi?” Elsa, the regular, said with a smirk.
“No, ma’am, they call me Puppy.”
“Oh.” She dug through her bra and pulled out a moist wad of bills. “I only have a tip for Papi.”

Puppy looked around the dining room. Kitty, the other new server, bolted to the back of the dish pit with the momentum of a startled cat. In the open kitchen, the other servers and cooks pretended to work while watching him.

“Well, I guess I’m Papi, then.”

Elsa cackled so hard she coughed, shoved the bills into his hand, and barked herself breathless with laughter.
